  FAQ Response

What can I expect during my time with you?

Before you come to Grace Medical Care, we can start to make all the arrangements to make your time with us go smoothly. We will be in contact with you and your doctor to start developing a plan of care and evaluate what resources we can offer to suit your needs. We can help you make arrangements for hotel or other lodgings and for your continuing care.

Your first appointment at Grace will give you an opportunity to orient yourself to our services. Your plan of care will be reviewed and you will have the opportunity to ask any remaining questions you have and to make sure that all of your concerns have been addressed. You will also have the opportunity to discuss and review any of the special services or referrals we offer that you have chosen to include in your care. Lab work, counseling, consents, ultrasound, and paperwork will be completed during this first appointment. An individualized plan of care will be developed for you by Grace physicians, depending upon your gestational age, medical condition, and social support. Depending on your individual circumstances, your procedure may begin on that first day.

You will have at least one or two more appointments over the course of the next day or two, to continually evaluate the progression of your procedure. When you are fully prepared, the procedure will be completed and arrangements for your follow-up care will be made.

You are welcome to return to our office for your follow-up examination or have your primary physician perform your ongoing follow-up medical care.
